Visit Malaysia

I never want to know Muslim culture more. And I also haven’t see any Muslim people before. Until now, I stay in Malaysia friend’s home. They show me a lot of places in KL and tell me many history about here. Include heir government, identity and different think from different people. There is a kind of strong discrimination here. I thought I really lucky to live in Taiwan. I can choose about my life and full freedom around me. This is not talking about good or bad. If I  was born in Muslim family, I don’t have any choose. It just follow the rule and their culture.

My friends said the government give Malay people many good things. In here, a husband can have 4 wifes. And then the wife work hard for family. If they have over 5 children, government will give them money every month. So that’s why I saw a lot Malay guy looks so lazy.

About Chinese that live here…. It seems they hate many rules from government.

But they can speak Chinese and contact China for business. So many Chinese people drive car and Malay people usually drive motor bike in KL( Just KL can see the different level )

To say the true, I don’t like this feeling from here. But I would love to see my friend again. KL for me…. Really just a big city… but it seem like more control here. I just stay here for one week. Later I take train from KL to Hat Yai( South of Thailand ) then I change the train from there to Bangkok. It spend 32 hrs for sit and sleep on the train. But I did and I feel more fun!

我從來沒有想過要去認識與接觸回教文化，並且我也從未真正見過回教徒。直到現在，我待在馬來西亞朋友的家，他們花了很多時間介紹他們的文化以及許多吉隆坡的故事給我，包括他們的政治以及許多不同的想法。不同於新加坡的是，這裡有種強烈的種族意識，當然也有不同的文化偏見在此。

我想我的確真的幸運出生在台灣，我擁有許多的選擇，我的生活是自由的。但在這裡我並不是要討論好與壞，只是覺得要是自己出生於這樣的回教家庭，似乎救注定必須要跟隨著這樣的文化與思想一生。

我的朋友說他們的政府給了馬來人很多福利。在這裡的馬來男人可以擁有四個老婆，而倘若家中的孩子多過於五個，政府就會給他們每個月一些津貼，這也難怪在這裡的馬來男人都懶洋洋的，只顧著生孩子就好。

而這裡的華人似乎不是很喜歡他們的政府，但華人因為語言的關係得以和中國有些商業的往來，也因此在吉隆坡，似乎有錢得以開車的都是華人，而騎著摩托車的幾乎都是馬來人（但這種情況只有在吉隆坡比較明顯）

說真的，我並不是很喜歡在這裡的文化感覺，但當我再次來到這裡我會願意想再見到我的朋友，吉隆坡對於我而言，是個一般的大城市，但似乎有一種強烈的文化意識控制在此。我只待在這裡一星期，接下來坐了32個小時的火車從吉隆坡到合艾（泰國南部）又換車一路到曼谷，聽起來很累又攏長，但我做到了，人小隻就是容易睡在任何地方，就算是普通車廂硬邦邦的長椅，我照樣能躺在上面睡到流口水。
